Meet the Founder
Jason Brown Jr., the founder of Just Be A Kid Foundation, is a dedicated student-athlete, community leader, and future Clemson Tiger. A lifelong resident of the Parkview community, he attended school in the Parkview district from kindergarten through 12th grade, where he developed a strong appreciation for service, leadership, and giving back.
Since a young age, he has excelled in both football and basketball, earning the opportunity to continue his academic and athletic career at Clemson University on a full football scholarship. Through sports, he has learned the importance of discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and using his platform to positively impact others.
As he prepares for the next chapter of his journey, he remains committed to investing in the children and communities that helped shape him, inspiring young people to pursue their dreams both on and off the field.
My Story
As I grew older, I realized that many young people are encouraged to grow up faster than they should. Between school, sports, responsibilities, and expectations, it can be easy to lose touch with the simple joys of childhood.
No matter how busy life became, I always found myself going back to the things I loved as a kid. Building with Legos, drawing football plays with crayons, playing video games, and using my imagination helped me stay grounded and reminded me of who I was beyond sports and achievements.
Those experiences inspired me to create Just Be A Kid Foundation. I believe every child deserves opportunities to have fun, explore their interests, build confidence, and create lasting memories. Through toy drives, youth sports programs, community outreach, and special events, my goal is to help children experience the joy, support, and sense of belonging that every child deserves.
Because at the end of the day, no child should have to grow up too fast. Every child deserves the chance to simply be a kid.
